Awesome BACKWARD DRIFT Reverse Entries – Nissan 200SX Swap BMW 325 Turbo Engine
French drifter Axel Francois going crazy in his Nissan 200SX S13 powered by a turbocharged M50B25 engine (2.5-litre 6-cylinder from a BMW 325i E36) during the second round of the King of Europe Drift Pro Series at Castelletto Circuit
What is Drifting?
Drifting is a driving technique where the driver intentionally oversteers, with loss of traction in only the rear wheels, while maintaining control and driving the car through the entirety of a corner. The technique causes the rear slip angle to exceed the front slip angle to such an extent that often the front wheels are pointing in the opposite direction to the turn (e.g. car is turning left, wheels are pointed right or vice versa, also known as opposite lock or counter-steering). The sport of drifting is not to be confused with the four wheel drift, a classic cornering technique established in Grand Prix and sports car racing.
What is Turbocharger?
A turbocharger, colloquially known as a turbo, is a turbine-driven forced induction device that increases an internal combustion engine’s efficiency and power output by forcing extra compressed air into the combustion chamber. This improvement over a naturally aspirated engine’s power output is due to the fact that the compressor can force more air—and proportionately more fuel—into the combustion chamber than atmospheric pressure (and for that matter, ram air intakes) alone.
