Gucci fall ’11?
Designers were channeling the 1930s for fall, showing decidedly ladylike footwear silhouettes topped off with thin ankle straps. Matching shoe styles were the call of the day at Gucci, Moschino and Brioni, where prints were brought down from the apparel to create a continuous look. Giuseppe Zanotti and Gianvito Rossi took their jewel-toned platforms up a notch with sexy-yet-delicate ankle straps on round-toe pumps. Albino went for an elegant touch with fur-embellished classic pointy toe pumps featuring a contrast ankle strap for extra interest.
