Top 10 Bag Trends For Spring/ Summer 2012

Bags are as important as clothing, shoes or any other items of the wardrobe. They reflect your style, show the world who you are and make you look unique. So, it’s essential to be able to choose the piece that is close to you. And it is as important to stay in trend. So, we offer you to get acquainted with our list of TOP 10 Bag Trends for Spring/ Summer 2012 fashion season.

You already know everything about Spring/ Summer 2012 Fashion Trends as well as Color Trends and Shoe Trends. But nothing has been still said about accessories. Today we’ll clear it out. And we’ll start from Bag Trends for Spring/ Summer 2012.

Bag Trend #1: Knitted bags. Just as shoes come knitted in Spring/ Summer 2012 season, so do bags. Knitting looks unusual and stylish but you should be sure you have the right clothing to pair it with.

Bag Trend #2: Large clutches. While clutches are usually small and fancy those designers offer us to carry during Spring/ Summer 2012 are large enough to hold all necessary stuff a woman needs daily. Such clutches come both in neutral colors to be good for office wear and in brighter hues for less formal outfits.

Bag Trend #3: Printed bags. We are normally rather practical and choose bags which are more or less versatile. But designers advise us to be bolder during Spring/ Summer 2012 fashion season and invest into bags which are not ordinary, those which feature interesting patterns.

Bag Trend #4: Foldover bags. Foldover bags have been popular for a couple of seasons already and they will stay in fashion for the entire Spring/ Summer 2012 season. Foldover bags come in a great variety of sizes, colors and prints.

Bag Trend #5: Small shoulder bags. Shoulder bags have always been in vogue. But in Spring/ Summer 2012 only small shoulder bags will be trendy. And despite they are called ‘shoulder’ bags they can as well be carried in hands.

Bag Trend #6: Satchel bags. Satchel bags are very comfortable. They don’t look big but can hold plenty of things. So, they are best for those of us who like to have everything for every occasion just in the bag.

Bag Trend #7: Wristlets. Wristlets, which are perfect for women who often lose things, will be very trendy during Spring/ Summer 2012. They come in a variety of designs and tones.

Bag Trend #8: Totes and weekend bags. Huge bags will not be very popular during Spring/ Summer 2012 fashion season but average-sized totes and weekend bags will. Opt for vibrant hues to stand out of the crowd or neutrals if you want a bag you could accessorize your every look with.

Bag Trend #9:Tiny bags. Women have always loved small bags – they are good for special occasions and look interesting. But are you ready for a bag which is not small but tiny? Whether or not you are, these bags are to be a hit in summer.

Bag Trend #10: Chain handles. Yes, since Chanel first introduced chain handles they have always been popular with fashionistas. The secret is simple: chain handle looks even more luxurious than it really is.

Obi-inspired sash belt

Obi Belts The biggest new belt trend is the obi belt – inspired by the sashes worn around the waist of a kimono. These belts are typically much wider than a normal belt, with either a sash or mini-belt closure. Like any other belt, the obi belt is incredibly versatile. Wear it to cinch your dress (like Alexander McQueen, Carolina Herrera, Marc Jacobs, Jonathan Saunders, & Haiden Ackermann), your coat or jacket (like Oscar de la Renta, Carolina Herrera & Burberry) or your top (like Donna Karan, Fendi, & Gucci).?

Asian-inspired obi belt at Carolina Herrera

Nude obi belt at Donna Karan

Tri-color obi belt at Fendi

Thick black obi belt at Haiden Ackermann

Celebrity Bags & Style

Ashley Tisdale Sports Her Balenciaga Arena Weekender

A gymbound Ashley Tisdale was looking rather sleek and sporty with her bold Balenciaga Arena Weekender, Chanel sunglasses and True Religion baseball cap. Okay, so I’m a tad bit jealous of her look, even if it is just her casual, on the way to the gym look – it’s fabulous and, needless to say, a thousand times better than the rush-out-the-door gym mess I sport!

Vanessa Hudgens and Her Gerard Darel Bag

Displaying an evident preference for boho chic, Vanessa Hudgens hit Bloomingdale’s with her sister for a little retail therapy. Complete with a freshly blunt cut (she chopped her locks off for a movie role), Vanessa sported a roomy Gerald Darel fringed shoulder bag with her Blu Moon maxi dress. Somehow these outfits are never complete without a pair of Sam Edelman flats, a big pair of sunnies, and a couple of statement necklaces.

Jessica Alba and Her Roger Vivier Bag

Honestly, does Jessica Alba ever look just “decent”? Nope, this woman looks 100 percent phenomenal all the freaking time, whether she’s playing with her daughter, running errands, or walking the red carpet, as she did here for the premiere of her latest flick. She’s ready to pop, but still manages to look fresh and elegant. Her Roger Vivier bag is the perfect finishing touch to her fun, star-print dress.

Rihanna Carries Fendi and Shops Chanel

Now this is the life! Spotted doing a little shopping at Saks Fifth Avenue the other day, Rihanna carried the fabulous Fendi Zucca Clutch while taking a peek at some goodies at Chanel. I’m not loving those open-toed, lace-up boots at all, but kudos to RiRi for otherwise pulling off a cute, casual ensemble (and losing the Sideshow Bob hair).

Pippa Middleton Spotted with a Bulgari Leoni Clutch Bag

Yes, the rumors are true. The fabulous Pippa Middleton has been spotted carrying a beautiful Bulgari Leoni Clutch Bag! Pippa is an absolute bombshell – I’m sickly jealous. She could carry a rock around and still look hot! I honestly don’t think I would have paid much attention to this bag if it weren’t for her sporting one. I’ve never been a huge Bulgari fan, but I’ll admit, I’m smitten with this beauty.

Beyonce and Her Lena Erziak Sean Bag

Let’s see here. Purple sunnies? Check. Gray moccasin boots? Umm, check. Zebra-print handbag? Mmmhmm. Looks like Beyonce has this cluster-eff business down to a science, doesn’t she? And that’s not really a commentary on her general style – this woman can look like the hottest person on the planet at the best of times – but we all have bad days, right? Good thing her Lena Erziak Sean Bag isn’t an eyesore. (Shame the same can’t be said about those shoes.)

Selena Gomez and Her Judith Leiber Clutch

Although they’re absolutely gorgeous, Judith Leiber’s famed clutches sometimes seem like they’re better suited for the curio cabinet than actually under someone’s arm. However, Selena Gomez pulls off her sparkly Leiber clutch at the NYC premiere of her new movie. And just check out that J. Mendel gown — gorgeous!

Jessica Biel and Her Louis Vuitton Mahina Stellar Bag

If you follow such things, you might know that millions of women who were supposed to grow up to be normal instead became Jessica Biel detractors. OMGSHEDATEDJUSTINSHESUGLYOMG. Seriously? You’re 27 and ‘N Sync is dead.

The hate is lame, especially because Miss Biel happens to be pretty fabulous. She consistently exudes a vibe of understated chic, almost always with an underlying classic allure that feels fresh in this age of oversexed celebutantes. Here she is with one of her old standbys, the Louis Vuitton Mahina Stellar Bag. The magnificent color (bleu ceil) really pops, and, impressively, Biel pulls off something like four different shades of blue in one look with surprising ease.

(Oh, and rumor has it she’s keeping company with Gerard Butler now. Methinks she’s safe from any further wrath, unless he has some rabid fan base of which I’m unaware.)

Inspired Seventies Fashion Trends of Spring/Summer 2011

In case you are a fan of the 70s fashion, you need to take a look at the latest spring/summer 2011 fashion trend that is inspired from the 70s. It is amazing as it includes flowing maxi dresses, high-waist flare pants, as well as disco minis, chunky platform shoes besides and sexy hot pants that will dominate the spring summer 2011 fashion trends!

The 2011 spring/summer fashion trends is full of surprises as it appears that some fashion designers have found their inspiration in various domains ranging from nature to vintage fashion. One source of inspiration that seems to stand out due to its style refers to the 2011 spring/summer 70s inspired fashion trend. After all, vintage fashion styles have always been a great source of inspiration for fashion designers. This is because vintage styles have always exuded style as well as glamour that always attract attention.

The 2011 spring/summer 70s inspired fashion trend appears to combine modernism with vintage styles in order to result in a unique and stylish outfit. The 70s were amazing fashion-wise since they offered something different. This included the wide leg pants that looked hot as well as completely different than what people had been used to. Their comfort and style still appears to have maintained their popularity since these pants styles have made a comeback.

Bohemian styles including peasant blouses, besides loose floor-grazing skirts, as well as wide leg pants and colorful sweaters are basically characteristics of the 70s fashion style . These characteristics have now been transposed into certain designer creations that were featured on the spring/summer 2011 runway shows.

Choosing such a vintage style can work to your advantage as vintage fashion includes a certain “je ne sais quoi” that enhances their style as well as attractiveness.

The perfect vintage outfit refers to the outfit that can underline the style while it maintains a high level of individuality. You can mix and match different vintage style fashion items until you are able to find the perfect style outfit for you.

The 70s were all about color whether it was pale or vivid. This is because color helps to underline the style of the clothes and you can go for a wide range or shades ranging from mustard to purple.

As per your personal choice, go for either a monochrome or a multi-colored outfit and accessorize it with belts, hats, as well handbags besides the right shoes as all these details can actually make a difference.

Get inspired from the fabulous fashion collections that are signed by Fendi, Salvatore Ferragamo, Etro, Marc Jacobs, etc, since they are truly remarkable!

7 Ways to Update Your Look

Try these one-step hair and makeup tips for a new, on-trend style for the new year.

Subtle Highlights
Brighten up your color with subtle, shiny highlights. Redken Creative Consultant for Color, Tracy Cunningham, thinks the metallic trend from the spring runways will also be huge for hair. Here, Anne Hathaway’s dark chestnut shade has hints of shimmery gold threads.

Half-Up Hair Is Back
Camilla Belle’s half-up style is a serious upgrade from the casual version of years past. Volume is the key to modernizing the look.

Only Line Your Top Lid
While the smoky eye isn’t going anywhere, here’s a look that’s equally sexy but a bit crisper. Try the combination of big lashes and liquid liner for a modern twist. Here, January Jones wears a hint of shimmery shadow in the inner corners of her eyes for extra brightness.

Try an Updo
From braids to chignons, hairstyles are getting higher. Zoe Saldana’s milkmaid braids are simultaneously youthful and elegant.

Bright Lips
From Fendi to Gucci to Jil Sander, we saw bright lips everywhere in every shade. Oranges, reds and pinks were all popular, but this pretty fuchsia on Natalie Portman gets our vote for wearability.

Amp-Up Your Ponytail
We saw countless ponytails on the spring 2011 runways — from BCBG to Tory Burch. The key to making this style more night-out than night-in is volume — lots of it. Tease, scrunch, and curl before pulling back your hair.

Don’t be Afraid of Color
The models in Jason Wu’s spring 2011 runway show wore a rainbow of eyeshadow shades. Here, Emily Blunt opts for a more wearable pale blue-gray, which complements her bare, pink lips.
