The archetypal Sloane ranger, Pippa Middleton in 2007 looked like many a girl on the Kings Road in her sensible winter coat and boot-cut jeans. Yes, her sister was dating a prince but there was no sign of the fashionista she was to become.

And things only got worse! While watching Prince William play rugby with sister Kate a few months later, Pippa opted for comfort in this tweed wrap-over and boyfriend baggy jeans.

But Pippa showed she could do “elegant” as well at a book launch with Kate. Wearing this gold silky dress and bolero, the party planner looked stylish, albeit in a very conservative way.

Back on the Kings Road, Pippa was busy perfecting her street style. These cropped white jeans and simple V-neck tee were ideal for showing off the starlet’s golden tan. But, more importantly, she’d started paying attention to accessories – her chunky belt and cute flats look care-free but they’re carefully chosen.

Knee-high boots are a favourite of both the Middleton sisters and Pippa worked hers well with this neat cropped jacket and striped skirt as she left Kings Road club Raffles in 2007.

Pippa Middleton opted for something a little more feminine (perhaps inspired by Kate’s matching floral number), when she was spotted in this monochrome boho dress in London.

This charity gala in Hyde Park was the moment that Pippa started to seriously find her fashion feet. That plunging neckline was to become a favourite of the Middleton sister, but here we were more impressed by the soft nude hue and embellished empire line.

Or maybe we spoke too soon? It’s OK – this was Pippa Middleton in fancy dress at the Day-Glo Roller Disco. Amazingly, she does almost carry off those legwarmers. But not quite.

Pippa falls back on the Little Black Dress for a party at Molton House in London. But note the thick belt, chandelier earrings and chic handbag. There’s more to this outfit than meets the eye!

Cementing herself as a bona fide fashionista, Pippa attended a launch for designer label Azzaro looking chic with a statement handbag and black ensemble.

Pippa’s never been afraid of a bit of colour and, though tangerine is a brave choice, she carried it off with another statement belt, jeans and metallic ballerina pumps.

Pippa Middleton proved she could hold her own against London’s best when she donned this graphic Issa print wrap dress, and showed off her curves, at the label’s London Fashion Week show in 2008.

Wearing Issa yet again, Pippa swept us off our feet as she glided into the Berkeley Square End Of Summer Ball. This printed maxi dress really shows off her figure, as well as her tan.

Hooray – a little sparkle! Pippa gives us a hint of her wild side in this sequinned zebra-print dress (from Issa again) at a Saatchi Gallery party in 2009.

Never one to turn her nose up at high street, Pippa impressed London’s most stylish at the 2009 Tatler party when she turned up in this one-shouldered, frilled dress from Reiss.

There’s that plunging neckline again! This time it’s on a Grecian-inspired dress in grey, which Pippa chose for a Haiti fundraiser in May 2010.

Embracing the winter brights trend Pippa Middleton was spotted leaving Public night club in this cute plum hue in February 2011.

With the eyes of the world now on her and her sister, Pippa started taking her fashion more seriously. In February 2011, she wore this gorgeous frilled coat with a cerise dress and matching fascinator to a society wedding in Northumberland.

The frills were out again in April 2011 when Pippa attended the engagement party of her friend Holly Branson in this nude French Connection dress and black jacket.

The day before the big day and Pippa goes low-key and mellow in this colour-block plum and navy dress with her trademark jacket and flats.

Not so for the wedding day itself, which saw Pippa almost steal the show from her older sister in this cream column dress by Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen. With its plunging neckline and figure-hugging style, the dress had all the fashion elements that we’ve come to expect from the younger Middleton.

…No wonder there was a Facebook group set up in appreciation of her, er, behind!

In her fashion element, Pippa looked stunning in this bespoke emerald Alice Temperley gown, which she wore for the evening festivities.

The morning after the night before and Pippa was back in high street – a bright blue Zara blazer to be precise, which she teamed with slim white jeans and pumps as she left the Goring Hotel.

The Middleton sisters – at a wedding? We’ve seen that somewhere before. This time, Pippa went for this ultra conservative jacket and patterned grey dress. But, unless our eyes deceive us, the sisters seem to be wearing the same shoes.

Pippa Middleton has already mastered that all-important A-List airport style. She might be wearing loose fabrics and comfortable Tory Burch pumps, there’s no compromise when it comes to being chic!

Pippa Middleton isn’t afraid to mix up her off-duty wardrobe. Denim and linen aren’t an obvious choice to go together but Pippa made them work for her while out shopping in the May sun.

With the eyes of the world on her, Pippa has incorporated this season’s trends into her wardrobe. Check out her interpretation of colour blocking. Bold, bright and very Kings Road.

Wow! Pippa Middleton got another style point from us when she stepped out in this cashmere-cotton dress by Tania Laurie.

Wrap dresses boring? Not anymore. Pippa rocked this Seventies print wrap dress – and put the iconic design back on the fashion map.

P-Middy confidently carried off this bright Hobbs pinafore dress as she made her way into Wimbledon. No wonder boyfriend Alex Loudon wanted to stay close by her side – she looks really good.

Pippa nailed again it with this simple summer look: black skirt, white vest and a dash of colour with the handbag. Perfection!

Taking a step towards an edgier look, Pippa donned a bold print dress with this modern twist on the classic leather jacket – one of her Whistles wardrobe favourites – for another busy summer day at work.

Pippa toned it right back down with this simple summer denim dress just a few days later.

Experimenting with shape, Pippa went all sports-luxe with this plunging zip dress. All of a sudden, she’s back to edgy!

Not one to miss out on a trend, Pippa teamed this light peach maxi dress with a loose, cropped blazer for a failsafe out-and-about look.

Pippa went over to the dark side with this classic black dress, monochrome cropped jacket and signature flats. Very Jackie O!

When the UK’s Indian summer hit, Pippa mixed a little playful something into her conservative work aesthetic in the form of her favourite Maje shorts. The hobo bag and red ballerina flats made this look effortlessly stylish.

Ms Middleton had the fashion pack divided (and the world’s press intrigued) when she wore this fan-print Alice Temperley dress to the designer’s London Fashion Week show. Taking a step away from her preppy style, she showed she’s not afraid to take risks – something to which the GLAMOUR.com fashion desk says, ‘Bravo!’

Clearly buoyed by her big fashion moment the previous evening, Pippa put some pep in her prep when she teamed this French Connection animal print blouse with her jeans the day after her front row Temperley adventure.

Blending tans and caramels, the simplicity of this look has us convinced that Pippa has found her style stride. She shines in simple shapes with statement boots and bags.

Pippa stepped up the style stakes – making women nationwide rethink their work wardrobes – with this printed dress and cropped blazer. Plus, of course, her trusty Modalu ‘Pippa’ bag.

Pippa saw out the last days of summer in this French Connection layered dress – another wardrobe repeat – with a tan jacket and accessories.

Pippa proved here that she’s not afraid to experiment with colour and this one looks great on her. The navy jacket, blue shoes and classic clutch bag make this the perfect after-work drinks outfit.

Pippa made boyfriend Alex an alluring date yet again at the Boodles Boxing Ball – held in aid of the Starlight Foundation – in yet another striking Temperley dress; this time, red silk with a plunging neckline and flower detail. All hail Pippa The Sexy!

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Pippa again opted for a herry hue and plunging neckline to attend to a wedding in spring 2012. Reckon the dress looks familiar? That’s because it’s the same Issa number that Kate wore in blue for her engagement photo. Touché!

Aside from us spying a few Pippa-shaped glimpses at Wimbledon and the like, Middleton junior kept a decidedly low profile following her much-publicised gun woes in Paris. Then, boom! In August 2012, she was back – and gone were the cleavage-baring V-necks in favour of a sensible, knee-length Alice By Temperley dress and matching strappy sandals. My, how we’ve missed those luscious locks!
